I have an equation and I can not figure it out.
(3,-2) (x,6); Slope= -4
Examples and a "dumbed down" explanation would be appreciated!

I need to find the value of x.
(y2-y1)=m(x2-x1)
m - slope
(6+2)=-4(x-3)
8=-4x+12
-4=-4x
x=1
plug it into slope formula (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) (6+2)/(1-3)
8/-2=-4
I know I'm late but there's how for anyone else who may need it or if you ever need a refresher.
