YAYMATH In order to use rational functions in intermediate algebra, Robert Ahdoot begins by setting values to the functions f(x) and g(x). He then adds these functions together, with the equation (f+g)(x). After addition comes subtraction, using the equation (f-g)(x). And finally multiplication, which is (ftimesg)(x). This is a little more complicated, requiring distribution of a binomial across a polynomial, but it's clearly demonstrated and explained. This video explains what to do with additive, subtractive, and multiplicative rational functions. You can watch more math videos on yaymath.org.
