When adding and subtracting integers, follow these math rules:

Adding Integers

(+) + (+) = positive (add the absolute values)

(-) + (-) = negative (add the absolute values)

(+) + (-) = ? (subtract the absolute values)

(-) + (+) = ? (subtract the absolute values)

Note: (+) means positive, (-) means negative, and (?) represents the sign of the greatest number in absolute value.
